My last words on abortion are for the young girls going out and getting abortions, you are not alone. You may feel alone right now but there are people out there willing to help you. You can always give your child up for adoption, there are many families out there that would love and want a baby. Also I think people are more likely to forgive you for being pregnant. It is harder for people to wrap there head around a girl getting an abortion. I know people that are so ashamed of that they got an abortion that they have hidden it for years. I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want that on my conscience for years. Also there are so many people out there if you decided to keep your baby and not give it up for adoption that would help you. Family members, also there are groups that meet that are just for young moms. Also become educated on the after effects of getting an abortion, talk to girls that have gotten an abortion. Getting an abortion is one a very painful procedure and two can have a lot of harmful effect on you emotionally. Also when watching the video of a girl that went undercover to a Planned Parenthood as a 13 year old girl, they just brush it off like it was no big deal. That video really made me think differently about getting an abortion. Finally it show more on your personality that you are strong enough to go through with your pregnancy, than just giving up and getting an abortion.

Rachel Maddow- ProChoice
In this clip Rachel Maddow is talking about the one abortion clinic in South Dakota. With her sarcastic tone, and views on abortion, watching starts to make you think, wow these poor women that just want to get an abortion in South Dakota. She brings up all the steps it take to get and abortion and how far they have to drive. Yeah looking at driving 7 hour to have an abortion may seem like a long time =, but I know people that live in South Dakota and there average drive time from town to town is 3 hrs. That a State where everything is spread out and people know they have to travel to get somewhere. Also when looking at the State of South Dakota you aren't going to find many women wanting an abortion. Most of the State is conservative and abortion is not a common thing. So she is trying to make it seem in this clip like, oh these hundreds of poor women that just want to get an abortion. When really it probably not hundreds, again this me just going off the facts of people who actually live in South Dakota, so what would they know!
Glenn Beck- ProLife
In these upcoming clips with Glenn Beck it is was broadcast as a hour long show about abortion. You won't find many Liberal news reporters having an hour long segment on abortion, because lets face it they don't really want to bring attention to the fact that they support killing babies. He has this girl come in, in the 3 clip that actually went into these Planned Parenthood clinic posed as a 13 year old girl pregnant. Some of the footage she got blew my mind, she was saying she was 13 and that her boyfriend was 31. These workers at the clinic were saying they don't want to hear about it and to lie and say her boyfriend was 14. Also she had a male actor go in posed as a "pimp" saying some of his whores for lack of better words needed to have an abortion. Again the workers just brushed it off like it was no big deal. Before I even went out on this research mission I was pretty sure I was ProLife. After seeing these videos I know for a fact that I am ProLife, that is how shocking they were, to me.

Each of these people have very different view on abortion most liberals such as President Obama are Pro Choice. Where as most Republicans are ProLife, many people choice is also based on the way they were raised. If you grew up in a more conservative home setting then you were more than likely brought taught that abortion is wrong. President Obama wants to have some of the U.S tax money go towards Planned Parenthood, which mean he want funding to go to pay for girls getting an Abortion. So basically taking my money , my parents money to support something I don’t support and to clean up another girls mistake. Honestly I don’t think that is my responsibility to clean up another girls mistake. If she is stupid enough to get Pregnant than she or the father of the baby should have to pay for it. I read somewhere that the funding wouldn’t go toward paying for a girls abortion, in my next blog you will see that even though it might not be paying for the girl abortion it is paying the people that work there. Also paying to make the clinic run and have even more abortion. In the middle of ProLife and ProChoice are the candidates and regular people that either change their mind about abortion of get fuzzy when it come to rape cases. Honestly I get fuzzy and sometime it is hard to be against abortion when it does come to rape. As Republican candidate you will fined that most of them are ProLife such as Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. They both have on the record videos and interviews about being Prolife. Also with them I agree that adoption is a better choice. There are millions of home and families that would love a child. Homes of families where it is not possible to have children of homes of families that just want to adopt.

Since this coming November is the Presidential election, abortion is an issue discussed a lot in news. Where a candidate stand on abortion can determine whether or not a person votes for them. Someone with a strong opinion on abortion such as the guy in Florida Bobby Joe Roger, that set an abortion clinic on fire. He did so because he supports ProLife, so he would definitely be someone that would vote for a candidate that is ProLife. Also Candidate have made ad bashing other candidate for their views on abortion. Such as Newt Gingrich plan on using the 2008 John McCain Ad bashing Mitt Romney’s on his views on abortion. Also in politics and news the rights of people come up. Just like this this women that was recently arrest for an at home self abortion. Many constitutional issues come up with case like this. Was it her right since it was in the privacy of her own home and it is her constitutional right to privacy. Was it murder because the fetus had a constitutional right to life. The case was dropped on the women for unclear reason but only 4 arrest have been made for self-abortion in New York since 1980.

This is a part from the the 14th Amendment and it is important to abortion because of the due process clause. When taking the word liberty it is how you twist and fabricate the word that make it important to abortion. The word liberty some would say means right to privacy. A women being pregnant is a private thing, weather a women aborts or doesn't is a private choice. Then circling back to the due process clause of the 14th Amendment. Which was used in a court case in 1973 Roe v. Wade, Roe was single women that challenged the Texas criminal abortion law. The court ruled that abortion should be regulated but not impossible. The restriction can be in the second and the third trimester to protect the health of the mother.

An abortion is taking another humans life, violating the child's right to life.

The reason I put this under the ProLife category is because of the way I interpret the First Amendment. Many use the First Amendment as protection for having an abortion because of Freedom of Religion. Meaning they can not be stopped from having an abortion because of religious reasons. People want to know when the seperation of church and government starts. The First Amendment is more to protect the church from the government not the other way around. Examples from the Bible were used in the foundation of the government such as Isaiah 33:22 which says, “For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king…”. That why the government was separated into three branches with three different powers. If the government was founded on church influence, why can't the church influence the government? The separation of state and church were founded because civil authority from ecclesiastical authority, not moral values. Since murder and stealing are two commandment found in the Bible should they also be removed from the constitution because of the separation between church and state?

Hi my name is Mailey Shimon. I’m a senior in high school and for my government class we had to pick an issue and write blogs about it. I decide to pick Abortion because recently my thoughts and ideas about Abortion have changed pretty drastically. I use to be for Abortion I thought it was the women choice whether they brought their child into this world. If they knew they were bringing that child into an environment that was not suitable then, they should either abort or try to set up a private adoption. Recently I have found out that some people very close to me have had abortions and I found out the effects they had on them personally. Also when my parent found out they were pregnant with me it came at a bit of a surprise. A surprise they weren’t sure they could support. When I found this out it made me change my thought on abortion because my parent could have aborted me and they didn’t. When I took my first breath all of their fears of the future went away. They knew than that they would make thing work out, because they loved me. So even if you’re scared that you are bringing a child into a toxic environment as long as you love them and do whatever you can for them, it will be okay. Also setting up a private adoption is never a bad thing too. That’s why this issue has become more important to me and why I want to research and fine out more about it.
