Abortion

Hi my name is Mailey Shimon. I’m a senior in high school and for my government class we had to pick an issue and write blogs about it. I decide to pick Abortion because recently my thoughts and ideas about Abortion have changed pretty drastically. I use to be for Abortion I thought it was the women choice whether they brought their child into this world. If they knew they were bringing that child into an environment that was not suitable then, they should either abort or try to set up a private adoption. Recently I have found out that some people very close to me have had abortions and I found out the effects they had on them personally. Also when my parent found out they were pregnant with me it came at a bit of a surprise. A surprise they weren’t sure they could support.  When I found this out it made me change my thought on abortion because my parent could have aborted me and they didn’t. When I took my first breath all of their fears of the future went away. They knew than that they would make thing work out, because they loved me. So even if you’re scared that you are bringing a child into a toxic environment as long as you love them and do whatever you can for them, it will be okay. Also setting up a private adoption is never a bad thing too.  That’s why this issue has become more important to me and why I want to research and fine out more about it.
